7.0 National Leadership Conference

The state chapter shall fund first-, second-, third-, and fourth-place competitors and national officer candidates (equal to a rate of a first-place competitor) based on the budget recommended by the Executive Director/State Chairman and approved by the PA FBLA Board of Directors. State officers will be financed in accordance with the approved state budget. If a state officer is a competitor, he or she will receive the larger subsidy. The following conditions must be met in order to receive the reimbursement:

  1. State officers and competitors must attend and check in with the Executive Director/State Chairman or his/her designee for all PA FBLA state meetings and caucuses; for all Eastern Region meetings; for all other national meetings.
    1. The competitor must have participated in his/her competitive event; there shall be no reimbursement for failure to participate in the competitive event.
    2. There will be a $100 reduction in reimbursement for not attending the state meeting, if scheduled
    3. There will be a $100 reduction in reimbursement for not attending the Awards Program.

Competitors must complete and submit the following forms in order to receive reimbursement:

  1. NLC punch card, which will be collected at the end of the NLC Awards Program.
  2. NLC test evaluation, which must be completed no later than August 1 on the online form provided by PA FBLA. The following should be included as part of the evaluation:
    1. Specific test question content
    2. Interview questions
    3. Case study details
    4. Questions asked by judges
    5. Description of the testing and/or performance conditions
    6. Suggestions for study/preparation

    Each competitor is expected to submit a separate evaluation form. Each individual must write his or her own evaluation; it is not acceptable to submit an exact duplicate evaluation for team members.

  3. Request for payment, which must be completed no later than August 1 on the online form provided by PA FBLA. This form identifies to who the check should be made payable and where it should be mailed.
